CURRENT GROUP MEMBERS
ANNA PAPADOPOULOUAnna is an Assistant Professor at UCY and head of the Molecular Ecology and Evolution Lab. Her research focuses on the use of molecular genetic tools for the study of island biodiversity.
EMMANOUIL (MANOLIS) MERAMVELIOTAKISManolis is a PhD student at UCY. He is primarily interested in how micro-evolutionary processes are linked to the observed macro-evolutionary patterns.
KONSTANTINOS NTATSOPOULOSKonstantinos is a PhD student at UCY. He is interested in systematics and molecular phylogenetics of the beetle family Tenebrionidae. |
MARIOS ARISTOPhANOUS
Marios is a postdoctoral researcher at UCY. He is primarily interested in spatial patterns of biodiversity and in insect taxonomy (mostly Coleoptera and Lepidoptera).
Adrián Castro-insuaAdrián is a postdoctoral researcher at UCY. He is mostly interested in data analysis for understanding ecological and evolutionary processes at large scales.
MICHALIS CHRISTOUMichalis is an undergraduate student at UCY, currently working on species diversity patterns of sand dune beetle assemblages across Cyprus.

PAST Group MEMBERS
VÍCTOR NOGUERALESVíctor was a postdoctoral researcher at UCY (2018-2020). He is now a postdoctoral researcher in Brent Emerson's group in Tenerife (IPNA-CSIC). Víctor is mainly interested in the interplay between evolutionary and ecological processes at different spatiotemporal scales.
LOUDMILA JELINSCAIA LAGOULoudmila was an undergraduate student at UCY (2019-2020). Her study focused on the phylogeny of Helopini, a tribe of the beetle family Tenebrionidae. She is now a Master's student at the Munich Graduate School for Evolution, Ecology and Systematics.
STYLIANOS MAVRIANOSStelios was an undergraduate student at the University of Cyprus (2019-2020), who worked on the phylogeography of the darkling beetle species Tentyria cypria and Tentyria cylindrica in Cyprus. He is now a Master's student at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen.
